The built environment of the Asia Pacific is at once solid and fluid; it is steeped in tradition but constantly changing, adapting to shifting demographics, economic imperatives and the new needs of its populace. Stephanie Larassati presented AT-LARS's work that responds to these evolving needs, including the drastic changes brought about by COVID-19, that blurs lines between temporary and permanent.

Together with Andro Kaliandi and Azalia Maritza from FFFAAARRR, moderator by Abimantra Pradhana from Ago Architects, we explored the potential, the impact and the possibilities of ephemeral architecture. Stephanie Larassati was presenting the city Berlin as a case study for its interim uses that have positively contributed to the city development.

Stephanie Larassati's interview with Whiteboardjournal about public space, her passion projects and female position in architecture (in Bahasa Indonesia)
The topic of the student competition by Miniatur UNDIP was "Place-making in Transient Space" - We see it as an effort to create interim uses or structures in forgotten urban spaces, which we believe is a chance and a great strategy in urban development. It seems that un-used and abandoned space are a common issue in most of the big cities, like Jakarta and Berlin. In the lecture, Stephanie Larassati shared her thoughts about this topic and introduced some successful temporary uses in Berlin, that have helped shape its development as a creative city - from Bar25, Stadtbad Wedding to Tempelhofer Feld.

We are excited to invite you to the opening of "3 Streams: Ethnic, Generic, Specific" Exhibition at LOCI-UCL Brussel as part of the Europalia Art Festival. March 2017 IKAT eCUT Opening
IKAT/ eCUT is an international exhibition that consists of two parts: Fast Fashion and Slow Fashion Lab. Fast Fashion is a travelling exhibition from Germany. Slow Fashion Lab is, on the other hand, designed and built locally.
Appointed by Goethe Institut Indonesia, LARGO are designing the Slow Fashion Lab as a part of IKAT eCUT Exhibition held in Gudang Sarinah, Jakarta, from March 9th until April 9th. This mobile pavilion will also travel to other big cities in Indonesia, such as Bandung and Yogyakarta.
